"James Wright, the father of a missing 6-year-old girl in Washington State was previously charged with molesting a young family member"

"The father of a missing Bremerton girl was once charged with molesting his then 8 year-old stepdaughter.

KIRO 7 has obtained court records from Whatcom County showing James Wright was accused of child molestation and fourth-degree assault in 1999. He later pleaded guilty to the assault charge, the molestation charges were dropped.

Kitsap County sheriff’s investigators say Wright and his wife Denise have both submitted to a polygraph, or lie detector test. The results have not been made public but both are said to be cooperating with the search and investigation.

Two of the Wright’s children, ages 8 and 12, have been removed from the home by state Child Protective Services due to what’s described as “probable cause developed during the investigation.” No other details have been released.
